PicoWeb Development Environment Support (Downloads)

This directory contains version 1.xx releases of the PicoWeb Development firmware and software. As of July 6, 2000 this version has been replaced by the version 2.00 PicoWeb development system!!!

In general, you will only need to download the file "pwdev.zip" from one of the above listed "cdrom" directories. This ZIP archive file contains all of the PicoWeb development environment software, Picoweb firmware, source code, and sample projects.

Note: This software is subject to the PicoWeb firmware development code license agreement.

Improvements since the 8 May 2000 release include:
  • Added #define NET_CONFIG_IP to allow changing IP address in EEPROM via "setip" program [5/16/00]
  • Added sample project "adc" showing use of serial ADC chip with PicoWeb [5/14/00]
  • Added PWBUILD support for PNG image files [5/14/00]
Improvements since the 5/3/00 release include:
  • Added Windows version of "bootp" server to source tree [5/6/00]
  • Fixed bug: multipacket dynamic Web pages corrupted "buf" temporary area [5/5/00]
  • No more need to set/restore "putcok" flag in user-suppled CGI routines [5/5/00]
Improvements since the 3/1/00 release include:
  • Bug fix for last "ACK fix" (Windows browsers hang on multipacket GET responses) [5/1/00]
  • Bug in TCP ACK logic (random browser hangs with multiple images) [4/28/00]
  • External pcode runs 40% faster; Web pages/images delivered 40-70% faster [4/24/00]
  • Updated PicoWeb PDF documents [4/24/00 and 5/3/00]
  • Added PWBUILD support for Java applets (see sample "javahits") [4/23/00]
  • Fixed obscure "packet wrap" problem with NE2000 chip [4/23/00]
  • Fixed TCP options negotiation bug (discovered using NAT) [4/23/00]
  • Fixed one-byte UDP packet bug (sample code routine mempkt.asm) [4/21/00]
Improvements since the 12/22/99 release include:
  • Atmel firmware code downloader now detects LPT0 correctly
  • PicoWeb development system source code directory included (see src\)
  • PicoWeb network loading (PWNETLD) performance improvement (~10x faster)
