FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PicoWeb™ at ASNT '99 Fall Conference and Quality Testing Show

Click to enlargeOctober 11, 1999 -- Lightner Engineering is pleased to announce that a Web-enabled instrument using the PicoWeb™ server will be demonstrated at American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Fall Conference and Quality Testing Show where the theme is NDT for the New Millennium.  Automated Inspection Systems (AIS) will be demonstrating remote ultrasonic thickness measurement via the net. A business card sized adapter using PicoWeb technology connects a standard Panametrics Inc. ultrasonic thickness gauge to an Ethernet network and hosts a Web page for the gauge. Thus thickness readings and full remote control of the gauge are available from any computer on the network, and optionally from any computer on the WWW, using standard browser software.
